Ghostwriting is funny stuff. It’s sort of like being a surrogate mommy. You have this little baby gestating inside you and the day comes when it’s born and you just hand it over. The baby is not yours. It never was. And all along, when you were writing and writing away, you told youself that this was going to be the best baby EVER! But the baby was not yours, could never be yours…

I finished the draft of one ghostwriting project yesterday. I love that feeling of not only making the deadline, but beating it. By about 48 hours. And since I’m heading out to Vegas for a couple of days, talk about a relief.

But it’s not going to be all gambling and sunning and shopping and drinking. Maybe I’ll squeeze a little bit of all that in, but there’s plenty of work to be done. On this site. On my other sites. A final edit on another project. So there will be plenty of face time with my laptop, oh yes.
