I agree with Teresa that I am not much interested in why somebody dumps me on Twitter. I try to just be myself and I never intentionally say anything mean or nasty. So if someone wants to unfollow me for whatever reason, it is fine by me. I don't feel the need to write back to them and ask why or ask for forgiveness. There are many more interesting people out there to follow and hopefully be followed by. Like you for example. ;-)

@Traci - I've got to agree. Some people may use different applications to unfollow people...not even paying attention to the last (most recent) tweet. So it's definitely not scientific in its determination of why a person REALLY qwit you. But I also use it to decide who to unfollow...

@Teresa - I've rec'd a handful of those Qwitter emails so far and the first couple I was like "What? How dare you unfollow moi!!" And now, I could give a care less. It doesn't change a thing about what I tweet... So I'm right there with ya!

Hi Tina,
I almost decided to worry about who quits following me on Twitter until I remembered that it doesn't really matter to me! I made the choice to be myself on Twitter, so if someone chooses to quit following me, they are just being their own authentic self as well!

I've had more than my share of "dumps" in my life. I don't have the energy to stress out over Twitter dumps as well! :-)

I have been using Qwitter too for the past couple weeks or so. I don't think it gives an accurate indication as to why folks unfollow. While it shows the last tweet you made before they unfollowed, that may or may not be the tweet that broke the camel's back. Since they could have unfollowed because of a tweet earlier in the day or even for what you're not tweeting. I don't use Qwitter to find out why - and even if I knew, would it really change how I tweet? No, it wouldn't.

I use Qwitter to know who I should UNfollow - and that would be those who have unfollowed me.
