The Telecommuting Kick

Over at WAHMBizTips.com I am on a serious telecommuting post kick. When you’re working outside the home and you really, really, really want to work at home…before you do anything stupid (like quit your job if you’re living paycheck to paycheck) then you should really evaluate whether your current job is something that you can do remotely. (I use the word “remotely” though in most cases it will be a home office set-up of some sort. But there are those who swear by working in coffee shops, restaurants, bars. I myself have been known to crank out some serious work in the library. But I still do most of my work at home).

Anyways…doesn’t it make sense before you jump ship to see if you can work out some sort of telecommute schedule with your employer? Steady paycheck are nice, people. You know they are!

Have you ever telecommuted? Are you telecommuting right now?? Are you one of those ultra-productive telecommuters…or are you hanging out in your jammies watching TV and eating leftovers…every once in awhile shooting an email off to let your colleagues know you’re alive?
